Our Story
In a world crowded with jargon, buzzwords and lazy language, our goal was - and still is - to bring clarity to complexity.
Clear Europe was founded in 2011 with a bold vision: to make communication clearer, simpler and more impactful.
What started as a focus on EU affairs quickly grew beyond our Brussels base. From the United States to Vietnam and from tiny NGOs to some of the biggest global corporations, we have helped hundreds of organisations sharpen their communication skills.
While our scope has grown, our mission remains unchanged: to equip busy professionals with the skills they need to communicate clearly, confidently and convincingly about complex issues.
Our approach
We may be biased, but we believe training doesn’t have to be like swallowing cough medicine. With the right attitude - and the right amount of coffee - we’re convinced it can be fun.
At Clear Europe we are not keen on abstract theory and endless slides. Instead we prefer learning through doing, focusing on practical exercises, role-play and real-life training scenarios.
All our training is customised to fit our client’s needs and goals. That’s why you won’t receive an off-the-shelf workshop from us, but rather a hands-on, fully tailored training experience using examples from your work.
We’re flexible by design – and so is our training. Online or in person, beginner or advanced, half a day or multiple days – you decide. We can even mix and match courses and modules to create the learning programme that meets your needs.

Gareth Harding
Founder & Managing Director
Gareth is the founder and owner of Clear Europe and our lead writing and media relations trainer. He is also a visiting professor at the College of Europe and director of the Missouri School of Journalism’s Brussels programme.
A former journalist, speechwriter, political advisor and documentary film-maker, Gareth uses his 30+ years’ experience to help clients communicate with more passion and precision.
Merícia Teles
Managing Director
Merícia joined Clear Europe as Business and Marketing Manager and later on as Managing Director to help shape the next chapter of the company’s story.
She began her career in Portugal as a Brand Manager at a Digital Marketing Training & Consultancy, playing a key role in launching the company in the market. She later joined Weber Shandwick in Brussels as Digital Manager, leading integrated communication and digital campaigns for pan-European clients across multiple sectors.
Lola Harding
Finance Officer
Lola is our finance officer and the one taking on the not-so-glamorous task of keeping all invoices and expenses neatly organised.
She studied Economics and Business Economics at the University of Amsterdam and is currently completing a Master’s in Economic Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Lola brings international experience from her work with NGOs such as Voices of the World in Brussels and Reporters Without Borders in Paris.
